John W. Maupin

John Maupin has practiced law continuously in Missouri since 1975 and has received a Martindale-Hubbell AV rating, the highest rating awarded, every year he has been evaluated. John is a former member and chair of the Missouri Ethics Commission and served as Vice Chair of the 2011 Missouri Senate Apportionment Commission. The Missouri Bar Association bestowed its President’s Award on John in 2010 in recognition of his service to the profession. John is a trained mediator and arbitrator and has been appointed as a Special Master and Commissioner by the Circuit Court. He has served as City Attorney of Ladue, Missouri for over a decade and as special counsel for several other municipalities. John has lectured on Missouri’s Sunshine Law, is former chair of the Missouri Bar’s Eminent Domain Committee, and has been a contributing author for several legal publications. He has also been actively involved in drafting several pieces of legislation, including tort reform, for the state of Missouri.
